MV re-useable insulating boots are designed to be used with all types of terminations and are required for use with PILC/XLPE cables. The modified silicone/rubber used in shrouds gives the required flexibility and electrical characteristics to ensure sufficient dielectric strength is provided between phase to phase and phase to ground.
The boots are easy to install and are designed for disconnection and re-usability. It also provides complete sealing of the cable, cable lug and the bushing, thus prevents flashover due to rodent and high humidity.
